Emer Fallon grew up in West Wicklow and studied in Dublin before moving to the West Kerry Gaeltacht where she lives with her husband and two daughters. She has worked as a journalist, café manager and more recently as an environmental advocate, delivering environmental workshops to primary school pupils. Her poetry has been published in Banshee, The Stinging Fly, Poetry Ireland Review, The Irish Times, THE SHOp, and The Poetry Bus, and features in Washing Windows III and Ponc Press bilingual letterpress volumes Two Tongues: Dánta Nua ó Chorca Dhuibhne and Port na bPúcaí. She received an Arts Council Agility Award in 2022 to support her work writing and illustrating a climate themed children’s story and is currently working on her second poetry collection. She also writes fiction.
